Dorset UK Equestrian Tent
Project Background and Challenges
Dorset Equestrian Centre in the UK is a well-established professional equestrian facility with over 30 horses, offering show jumping training, dressage instruction, and horse livery services. Due to the UK's rainy and snowy winter climate, the outdoor training arena is unusable for nearly four months each year, causing training programs to be frequently interrupted.
The centre had previously considered building a traditional steel-framed indoor arena, but faced obstacles including lengthy land-use approval processes, high construction costs, and significant environmental impact during construction. At the same time, the available open space on site was limited, requiring careful planning without affecting existing arenas and facilities.

Project Implementation
Upon receiving the enquiry, the LINGTONG team conducted a site survey and, based on the centre's site conditions and training requirements, provided a complete customized solution:
Main Training Arena — A gable-roofed tent structure of approximately 1,500㎡ with a completely column-free interior, allowing horses to move freely. The eave height meets the requirements for show jumping training, and the floor is surfaced with professional equestrian arena footing material offering good shock absorption and slip resistance to protect horses' joints.
Support Facilities Area — The tent interior includes designated stable areas and rider changing rooms, equipped with water supply and drainage systems, creating an integrated workflow for training, resting, and changing.
Construction and Delivery — The project was completed and handed over within 25 days from design to delivery, with minimal disruption to the centre's normal operations.

Project Results
The equestrian tent is now fully operational and has become the centre's year-round core training facility:
It has resolved the issue of winter training interruptions, allowing horse training programs to continue throughout the year.
The tent interior is spacious, with professional-grade footing and ample natural lighting, significantly enhancing the training experience.
The support facilities are well-planned, making the training workflow more efficient and streamlined.
