Inflatable Capsule Pop-Up Tent for Brand Activation in Munich
Client Background
The client is an international beer brand that runs brand experience activities during the Munich Beer Festival every year. The brand leased a temporary site in a central Munich square and wanted to build a pop-up space combining brand display, beer tasting, and football match broadcasting. The event period was 10 days, the surface was a hard stone-paved heritage square, and excavation or permanent fixing was prohibited. The brand required a space with strong visual identity, clear internal zoning, and smooth visitor flow, while allowing fast setup and dismantling without disrupting public square operations. The brand needed a fast-deploy inflatable capsule tent solution for short-term festival activation.
Client Needs and Challenges
Protection of the Square Surface
The site is a historic square. The management required no damage to the ground and prohibited traditional foundations or expansion bolts. The tent had to be fixed with ballast or steel cables, with full site restoration required post-event.
Fast Setup and Dismantling
During the beer festival, site scheduling was tight. Setup and dismantling each had only one day. The client needed a structure that could be erected within hours and dismantled just as quickly.
Brand Visuals and Functional Zoning
The brand required the exterior to fully display brand graphics and theme colors. The interior needed three functional areas: brand display, beer bar, and football viewing area, while maintaining smooth visitor flow.
Weather Adaptability
Munich weather in October is changeable, with possible rain and strong winds. The tent needed good waterproof and wind-resistant performance to keep the event running normally.
Solution
The project team provided one Inflatable Capsule Pop-Up Tent, sized 12m × 4m, with an area of approximately 48㎡. The tent was placed along the edge of the square, facing the main pedestrian flow, creating an open and transparent brand experience space.

Structure and Setup
The tent uses an inflatable frame structure. All aluminum profiles, glass doors, MDF boards, PVC fabric, and modular flooring were prefabricated at the factory. On site, the structure only needed to be unfolded and inflated. The main inflatable structure was fully shaped within 2 hours, with full interior fitting, flooring and branding finished within one working day. Fixing used wind bracing cables and weighted ballast, without damaging the stone surface of the square.

Brand Display and Functional Zoning
The exterior of the tent uses UV-printed brand graphics, fully presenting the brand identity and beer festival theme. The interior is divided into three areas: brand display at the entrance, beer bar in the middle, and football viewing area at the rear, equipped with a large screen and seating. The three areas transition naturally within the same space, allowing visitors to move freely.
Integrated Configuration
Lighting, flooring and electrical systems are pre-integrated prior to delivery. Only power supply connection was required upon on-site deployment. The cover is 650g/m² flame-retardant double-sided PVC knife-coated fabric, waterproof and UV-resistant, with a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C. The structure has wind resistance level 7-8.

Implementation Process
The project started in August 2025. The engineering team confirmed the tent layout and brand graphic scheme based on the square dimensions and event plan provided by the client. All components were prefabricated at the factory and shipped by sea to Rotterdam, then transported by road to Munich.
On-site setup took place one day before the event. The tent was unfolded and inflated on-site. Subsequent fitting work including glass doors, flooring, lighting and brand graphics installation was finished within one working day. After the event, the tent was deflated, folded, loaded, and transported away. The square surface had no damage.
Final Results and Client Feedback
During the 10-day event, the tent received a large number of visitors and became the most visually recognizable brand space on the square. The brand reported that the modern shape and complete brand presentation significantly increased interaction, with the beer tasting bar and football viewing zone maintaining high visitor throughput throughout the event. After the event, the tent was folded and transported to the next city for continued brand tours.
The reusable design greatly reduces recurring rental and construction costs for global brand roadshow campaigns. The client stated that the setup speed and site adaptability of the tent exceeded expectations. In particular, zero ground damage and fast dismantling satisfied the square management. The brand plans to continue using the tent at the next beer festival and increase the number of modules.
Client Feedback
"We needed a non-intrusive brand space on a protected historic square for beer tasting and live football viewing, with only one day for on-site installation. This inflatable capsule pop-up tent inflated and took shape in just two hours. The custom branding and clear internal zoning worked perfectly. Fast dismantling and zero ground damage fully met square management requirements."
— Brand Activation Manager, Munich Beer Festival Project
Summary
This project demonstrates the flexible application of the Inflatable Capsule Pop-Up Tent in large festival brand activations. With one 12m × 4m module, an approximately 48㎡ brand pop-up experience space was built on the Munich Beer Festival square, integrating brand display, beer tasting, and football viewing. Factory prefabrication, on-site inflation, no foundation fixing, fast dismantling, and reusability make this modular inflatable pop-up structure ideal for city squares, festival activities, and brand tours.
Supplementary Notes
This case study is based on a brand pop-up project at the Munich Beer Festival. The Inflatable Capsule Pop-Up Tent uses an inflatable frame and modular design, suitable for city squares, festival activities, brand tours, and temporary commercial spaces. The structure requires no traditional foundation, causes no ground damage, can be set up and dismantled quickly, and supports repeated use and transport to different locations. The tent can integrate lighting, flooring, glass doors, and brand graphics to meet various functional needs such as brand display, product tasting, and event broadcasting.
